Our story

Wigs for Nurses started with a straightforward observation. The women who work the hardest to look after everyone else are often the ones with the least time left over to look after themselves.

A twelve hour shift does not leave room for a morning routine. Neither does a night shift, or a double, or the drive home after either. And the hair care that gets skipped is rarely skipped because it does not matter. It is skipped because something else mattered more that day, and then the day after that.

So we built a store around that reality rather than around the way wigs are usually sold. That is why our collections are named after parts of a shift instead of after hair types. Five-Minute is for the mornings when there is no time at all. On-Shift is for hair that has to hold up through a long day. Off-Shift is for everything that happens once the scrubs come off.

What we will not do

We will not sell you synthetic and call it human hair. Everything here is human hair. It costs more. It also lasts, takes heat, and moves like hair because it is hair.

We will not blur the terminology. A closure is a closure and a lace front is a lace front. Body Wave, Loose Wave and Deep Wave are three different textures, and we list them as three things because they are three things.

We will not price a wig one way and charge another. Every price on this site is calculated from one master table. Choose a longer length or a premium colour and the price changes in front of you, before you commit, with the arithmetic shown.

We will not rush you into the wrong purchase. If you write to us unsure, we will tell you honestly what will suit you, including when the answer is a cheaper option than the one you were looking at.

Who we serve

Nurses first, because that is who we started with and who told us what was missing. But the same problem belongs to anyone whose day starts before it should: physicians and techs, teachers, women in treatment, mothers of small children, anyone protecting their own hair, anyone who simply wants a morning back.
